Business Analyst II, At Risk Clinical Programs

As a Business Analyst II on the Amazon One Medical At-Risk team, you will be the data insights engine that powers both new program launches and operational improvements. In line with Amazon's data-driven culture, you will partner with Program Managers to evaluate new capabilities and with Operations Excellence Managers to measure process effectiveness.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, healthcare domain knowledge, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to drive data-informed decision making that shapes both new program development and operational excellence, directly contributing to Amazon's data-driven approach in transforming healthcare delivery.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead complex analysis efforts using healthcare data (EMR, claims, clinical quality) to inform strategic decisions and program design
• Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track both new program effectiveness and operational performance
• Partner with Program Managers to define success metrics for new initiatives
• Collaborate with Operations Excellence Managers to identify and quantify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement data governance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Conduct predictive modeling and impact analyses for proposed initiatives and process changes
• Build scalable reporting solutions that can be replicated across markets
• Make trade-off decisions regarding analytical approaches and resource allocation
• Present complex analytical findings to senior stakeholders in clear, actionable terms

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- 3+ years of healthcare analytics experience
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with large datasets
- Experience with EMR data, claims data, and clinical quality metrics
- Effective communication across diverse teams and functions

- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Biostatistics)
- Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling in healthcare
- Strong understanding of value-based care models and risk adjustment
- Proven track record of translating analysis into business recommendations
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) analytics tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
